John Greenspan joined DAR in 2013 as Director of
Acquisitions and Asset Management, and was promoted to
Managing Director, Investments in 2016. John has over
fifteen years of institutional real estate investment
experience. Prior to DAR, Mr. Greenspan served as
Managing Director at Commonfund, where John managed the
acquisition, asset management, and disposition
activities for a diversified $500+ million portfolio of
real estate investments in major markets across the US.
Prior to Commonfund, John was an Investment Manager at
GE Asset Management, where he actively managed a $400
million portfolio of office, retail, industrial, and
multifamily assets on behalf of GE Pension Trust.
John has a BA in American
Studies from Trinity College, and an MBA from Georgetown
University. John is a member of ICSC and was the President of the Fairfield County
Chapter of the Real Estate Finance Association of
Connecticut (REFA-CT) for 2016-17.

Al Mirin is considered one of the most accomplished commercial
real estate professionals in Fairfield and Westchester
Counties—is an Executive Director, Capital Markets,
within Cushman & Wakefield’s Stamford, Connecticut
Mr. Mirin has been recognized as a leader in investment sales in
the region for the past 25 years. He directs Cushman &
Wakefield’s regional Investment Sales and Private
Capital Group, specializing in middle market building
sales. In this position, Mr. Mirin is able to enhance
his value proposition with his clients, advising them on
how to increase long-term asset value when the time
comes to monetize that asset, whether through sale or
financing. The Private Capital Group’s focus is sales
and strategic consulting on behalf of owners of office,
industrial, retail and multi-housing properties.
Mr. Mirin previously served as Senior Vice President at CBRE,
Inc. in Stamford, specializing in investment properties.
In that capacity, he acted as advisor in more than 20
million square feet of transactions, totaling in excess
of $8 billion.
Fairfield/Westchester Program Committee
handles all portfolio leasing activities and is involved
in all major company decisions. Other direct
responsibilities include sourcing new acquisitions,
dispositions, supervising tenant improvement work and
attaining permits and approvals for pad site
developments. Since arriving at The HB Nitkin Group in
1995, Mr. Way has fostered quality relationships with
brokers and tenants alike which has led to consistent
portfolio occupancy of over 95%. He has completed
leasing transactions with over 300 tenants for a total
of over 3 million square feet leased. Much of Mr. Ways
leasing efforts have been concentrated on specialty and
downtown projects which HB Nitkin owns.
Prior to joining
HB Nitkin, Mr. Way spent 10 years at GE Capital working
in all facets of their commercial real estate business
including new loan and portfolio originations,
structured finance, asset management and workouts. Mr.
Way received a B.A. from The University of California,
Berkeley. Mr. Way is an active member of the ICSC
(co-chair of Connecticut Fairfield division) and REFA.
