Mr. DesRochers joined NorthMarq
Capital in September 2003 when NorthMarq acquired the
mortgage banking division of Legg Mason Real Estate
Services (LMRES) where he was employed since 1988. He
currently serves as Senior Vice President and
Co-Managing Director of NorthMarq’s New York
Metropolitan office which is based in New York City with
a satellite office in Jericho, Long Island. Mr.
DesRochers is senior real estate finance professional
with over 30 years of experience in the life insurance,
banking, and securitized lending arenas. He is currently
responsible for overseeing the origination,
underwriting, and structure of commercial real estate
loans for correspondent and agency lending institutions
in the tri-state area. Financing types includes debt,
equity, mezzanine, and structured finance transactions.
In addition he oversee s a $2.1 +/- billion mortgage
loan servicing portfolio including the review and
processing of regular servicing requests (lease
approvals, escrow releases, etc.), and annual lender
collateral reviews.
At NorthMarq, Mr. DesRochers also
has had several corporate responsibilities including
having served as a member of both the NorthMarq
Executive Committee and the Administration Committee. He
is currently a member of the Servicing Committee. Prior
to his employment at LMRES and NorthMarq, Mr. DesRochers
was with the Travelers Insurance Company Real Estate
Investment Department holding several positions with the
firm including his last as General Manager of the Boston
Field Office.
He is a graduate of the University of
Connecticut holding a Bachelors of Science degree in
Real Estate and an MBA. He is a member of several
professional associations including REFA, the ULI, the
ICSC, the American Society of Real Estate Counselors and
the National Real Estate Forum. Mr. DesRochers holds a
Real Estate Broker license in Connecticut, an Associate
Broker license in New York and a Real Estate Salesperson
license in New Jersey.

Jack Mullen

As the Founder and Managing
Director of Summer Street Advisors, LLC (SSA) Jack Mullen brings a breadth of
knowledge and experience to the CRE industry. Prior to
the formation of SSA, Mr. Mullen was an executive member
of GE Capital Real Estate's Global Valuation Team and
was responsible for managing transaction teams in the
due diligence, valuation and underwriting activities
supporting the acquisition of $10 billion in CRE
investments.
Previously,
he served as Vice President with Turing Capital
responsible for risk and transaction management for
corporate and commercial real estate lending
opportunities. Mr. Mullen has also held key positions
with Chase Manhattan Bank, Chemical Bank and Finova
Capital. Through the delivery of highly-respected and
well-attended thought-leader roundtable networking
events, Mr. Mullen continues to be positioned at the
forefront of the evolving and complex CRE industry.
These events, held quarterly in NYC, assemble leading
industry experts and executives who are actively shaping
and influencing the marketplace. In addition to being a
frequent preferred contributor to articles in leading
industry publications such as PERE, Mr. Mullen regularly
produces by-lined articles on the most critical subject
matter facing the commercial real estate industry today.
Mr. Mullen earned his Masters in Business Administration
from Fordham University and a BA degree in Economics and
Political Science from Salve Regina University. He
currently serves as the Vice President of the Real
Estate Finance Association of Connecticut (REFA CT) for
2014-2015, with intent of serving as President for
2015-2016. Additionally, Mr. Mullen is a member of CREFC
(CRE Finance Council), RELA (Real Estate Lenders
Association) and is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
